Just last week, your baby was a size of a sweet pea and now is the size of a blueberry. At 7 weeks pregnant, your baby measures about a half an inch from top to bottom and have doubled in size from previous week.

Organ Development at 7 week pregnant

As you progress in your pregnancy, your baby cells will continue to rapidly develop and form organs.

At 7 weeks, your baby begins to develop parts of the eyes that allows your baby to sea and also the stomach and esophagus starts to form. Liver and pancreas are also among the important organs that begins to develop this week.

Symptoms at 7 Weeks Pregnant

At 7 weeks pregnant, you may be feeling many symptoms that many women normally feel. Your body is doing a lot of work to provide a nourishing environment for your baby. Sometimes symptoms can throw you off-guard and make you wonder whether a new symptom or ache you are experiencing is “normal”. As a word of caution, if you are worried, trust your mama’s instincts and call your Ob-Gyn for advice.
